Using copper power, I brought my tank up to 1.75 on Hannah meter.

60 gallons of water, I used about 66 ml if I recall correctly.

In 3 days it has fell to 1.6, from absorbtion.

Is there a way to figure out how much to add to bring it up to the 1.75 level?

I did some math and came up with 9 ml, does that sound about right ?

Ok I did 9 ml, which probably brought my level to 1.9 or so, which is ok, some buffer for absorption.

Did 1.6 fall to what you consider under “therapeutic “ levels?

Lastly, I’m turning my tank over thru the sump about 3x an hour. How long after I put the 9 mls in would it be safe to get a good reading, allowing the copper to mix in all of the tank?

I would say you need to wait 20 minutes then at least. An Hr is a safe bet. I check sumpless QTs 60 seconds after a dose and get accurate readings.

1.60 is low as I would comfortably go being the reader has a tolerance of +/-.05ppm. You should be fine.

Ok and would you agree raising it up to 1.85 or 1.9 gives me some cushion as for as absorption goes ? As long as I check every 2 to 3 days until it levels out?

Yes no problem, personally I don't like to exceed 2.0ppm

1.75-2.0ppm is a good place to be.

Ok and last two questions,...

The Hannah meter vial has a line for 10 ml.

However when I used a syringe dropped, it goes to 5 ml, I do it twice, to give me 10 ml.

However the water line is an 1/8 inch or so higher than the line on the bottle for 10 ml, which would you follow?

And lastly, when you open a bottle of copper power, I imagine some water evaporates, over time, does the copper get stronger per ml, similar to water evaporated in a tank, where salinity goes up from more salt less water?

The reagents are made for their tester and their cuvette. Fill to the line.

If you keep the lid on the copper bottle there won't be any evaporation.
