This coral must have come from a spore or something. I first saw it in January and it was about 1/8" diameter and now it's almost 1 inch diameter. Today, though, it replicated by separating a portion of it, which then moved slightly away from the main polyp.

I thought it might be a Duncan, but I really don't have a clue. I'm hoping it's not an aggressive coral. It's a really bright fluorescent green, that doesn't come out that colorful in the pictures.

Any ideas?

Wow ... that would be interesting if it's an anemone. Would that make sense, since the little piece moved? I don't know much about anemones, so it looks like I need to do some research.

Any ideas on what type of anemone it might be?

That’s a majano I had several spawn had to eliminate them kept one the nicest looking one mainly because it’s on a rock all by itself doesn’t bother the corals all the rest were not allowing the zoas to open

Thanks for the help on this. So it looks like I'll have to control and/or eliminate them to keep them from taking over. That's a bummer, since it sure is pretty. Does Aiptasia X or Joe's Juice get rid of them?

Yep, I do have some bristle worms, since I feed too much. I have a lot less than before, though, since the tank is now 2 years old and relatively mature. I'm trying to maintain phosphates at 0.01-0.003 ppm, since the corals do much better, but it tends to run higher. Hopefully over time I'll get it figured out.

All the best!
