When originally described to me I assumed it was GSP. It has taken over my FIL tank. Then I saw it and I'm not sure what it is. It's very large individuals each with its own mouth. Almost like a mushroom. It's definitely soft. It spread all over his tank. Anyway. He doesn't know what it is and I'm struggling. Any help would be appreciated.

I have some big sweeper corals, but I rarely notice them unless they are too close to something else, but yeah try taking a look at night

100% Rhodactis indosinensis. It’s a mushroom. Does look sort of like galaxea, but this clearly doesn’t have a skeleton.

edit: looks like if just freshly split.
It is soft like a mushroom so I thought it might be. each one is BIG. The larger one is probably 2 inches across. We split one of his rocks that he was going to remove from his tank and you can almost peel them off the rock if you wanted. They also slimed a lot like some of my previous mushrooms so this makes sense

Going off the ledge: Would you be interested in a drop off aquarium?
