See this poking out of rock that started out sterile. I have added live rock from trusted source, fish, and coral frags. I assume it hitchhiked on one of them. Not much of it to see, but wondering if there is enough for a partial id.

Tried video, but it's no better. I have a green hairy mushroom and this ones arms are smaller, but similar. Much darker and no green.

Shut off pumps cranked the lights. Took a pick or two top down. Definitely a nem. Are majano ever dark and more purple than brown? Warning one pic is with lights off and just phone flash. It's over exposed and makes nem look brown, but it's much darker than it looks in that one.

An anemone ... sponge cluster ... tiny tunicate colony -- just to small to tell for sure right now. Gonna have to wait until it gets a little bigger to know for sure.

*** Just saw you posted better, bigger pic while I was typing ***

Does look like an anemone. Or possibly, but not as likely, some type of palythoa.

Thank you hoping it's at least a neutral add to the tank rather than something bad.
