Hello,

Has anyone seen or used a wave pump that is powered from outside a tank, where it is powered by the magnet outside of the tank. Does this exist?

Thanks

Just remember the cords are still visible but now on the outside of the tank. Best of luck :)

is there any device out there that's powered on the outside without cords? say a battery powered magnet on the outside that you charge/recharge as the power drains, thereby eliminating any visible cords on the outside? I know its a reach, but figured I ask since i've been searching online and came across this post. Doesnt need to have a controller. Just curious if there's a propeller out there that can be charged and then placed with a magnet on the outside that is powered and simply turn on/off. I recognize it gets complicated if you want to have controller ability, but putting that aside, curious if there's something simple as this or not.

I ask because I purchased the RedSea Peninsula 950 and i'm struggling with flow at the surface on the opposite end of the tank and you can see buildup on the top of the water on the opposite side. I believe the ReefWave 45 Gyre Powerheads work ok for I have them deployed vertically on the L/R sides of the water column, but they are below the return pump valves. The return pumps are setup at 100% but they dont move the water that well on the opposite side of the tank, which is where you see a very light buildup on the top of the water (i.e. left over flake food, etc.)

I wouldnt mind charging frequently if it avoided having to see wires on the outside. thanks.

Hello apparently my 12 mm glass is too thick for the Ecotec. Does anyone know of a pump with the cord on the outside that will work on my 12 mm glass SCA 80 gallon Cube?

12mm glass should not be too thick for the MP as long as you dont get the 10

Dude,

You're a lifesaver. Just ordered a rimless tank and my Wife hates seeing cords. Thanks
My wife is the same way. Day in, day out, she doesn't want to see it dangling around.:face-with-rolling-eyes:

Great that you are setting up a new tank together!
