This carb has made a hole in the sand under all my rocks I would never be able to get him. Should I leave him in or get him out. Is he safe to leave in?

It’s all black and white. I’ve read that black crabs are bad but I haven’t seen him do anything bad yet. His legs have hair all over them and when fish swim by him in the rocks he didn’t do anything, he just ignores them so no harm no foul. But i don’t know if that could change.

No crab - save for porcelain crabs, anemone crabs, and the commensal crabs that live on coral - is 100% reef safe. At some point if he gets bigger he will eat snails and fish, though most likely leave coral alone.

Don't bother trying to catch him with a net - set up some sort of trap. The cheapest/easiest involves a glass or tupperware container and sinking pellets (which are good because fish ignore them. Make sure the crab has a way into the trap, but no ramp to get out.
