Purchased a new tank that was built wrong. Thinking I could remove over flow glass, install bulkhead and reset glass I cracked the tank. Went at it for an hour with razor but one side is to tight to get razor in. So thought I would hit it from the outside with torch and burn off the silicone. I went hard with the heat and snap, glass cracked.

is it trash? How am I going to remove this over flow to get bulkhead in?

first thought is to add support glass to inside and outside, but crack is at the return bulkhead. Best bet would be install bulkhead at the same time I add support glass.

Unfortunatey, panel will need to be replaced. When you apply bulkhead, it may crack some more

Considering I couldn’t get the overflow glass out, don’t think I’m cut out to replace the glass. Has the additional black aluminum? bracing around top and bottom for added work. I wanna hit my big toe with a hammer so I can cry and move on.

Yep, trashed unfortunately. It will spread once stressed with something like water or moving most likely.

Correct me if I'm wrong, you tried to remove the glass overflow because the bulkhead didn't fit ?
You could've reverse the bulkhead, put the threaded end through the glass and tighten it then
