My lettuce sea slug Gigi. She is much bigger and floofed out now.

I also have a new juvenile tuxedo urchin named Morton but I don't have any pics of him on this computer.

My favorite is a sand dollar I purchased many years back. I don't see it, only the bump of sand covering it as it moves back and forth across the sand bed. It takes about a day to traverse my 6 foot 180. It's about 3.5 inches in diameter. And, it is a great sand cleaner.
what a chad
homie just staying in his lane cleaning away like nobody’s business with not a single care in the world

Does he leave notes on the glass saying “thanks for the F shack?”
Not quite. But He and the "Boys" (my hermits) do like ticking off my clams when they start cleaning all the yummy algea off the outside of the shells. He'll tip a clam over and just look at me like "And I'll do it again"

If they work, my soon-2-be new favorite slow movers. I think they will be named: UPS, FedEx and USPS for snail mail. My F-Aiptasia aim hasn’t been too good. Hope he comes down from the top right corner. IMG_9485.jpeg IMG_9490.jpeg

What's the longevity of a Lettuce Sea Slug in a reef tank?

Here's a Lettuce Sea Slug story for you all:
Forty-odd years ago the Aquarium Stock Company in lower Manhattan was the only decent marine fauna retailer in town. A guy I knew there would make an annual pilgrimage to the Florida Keys, with his girlfriend, to collect large numbers of Lettuce Sea Slugs when they were in bloom. When he got back, he'd sell them to the store and to local wholesalers. He made enough money to cover the cost of the trip, and then some.

I used to go there 60 years ago. Fantastic place and they even sold sea turtles. I'm glad I couldn't afford them. :anguished-face:

I used to raise Lettuce Sea Slugs, (Elysia Crispata) 20 years ago. :)

Lately it's been my lettuce sea slug. His name is Waldorf. He did get sorta sucked into a filter so he's a little shorter than he used to be. But recovered!
