Crosshatch trigger

So I'm looking for one and it sounds like a 5" male is a pipe dream. There's a 7" male available - I have a 233g 5' tank, is this big enough for one?

Yeah they always come in pretty large. I think the tank length is a borderline call. I was waiting on others since I have not kept the crosshatch before but I have kept other Xanthichthys genus triggers. If they act like other Xanthichthys they will hang in area and really not be the big lateral swimmer.

Thanks. I've decided I'm probably better off starting with a small blue throat. When I upgrade in the future I'll do the xhatch unless I come across a small one

Yeah- the largest I’ve seen is about 7”
