Cuckoo fish hiding

Hi I have 3 baby cuckoo fish that I added two weeks ago,they are just under an inch long,they are still hiding.I also have two juvenile moonlight gouramus

Is it normal for baby cuckoo fish to hide for two weeks,I also have two juvenile moonlight gouramis and wondering if they will eat them,the cuckoos are just under an inch in length.

Welcome, glad you are here! Quite a few reefers on here are running both salt and freshwater tanks and I think the majority started in freshwater. Let me see if I can get a couple to pop in and hopefully help you out. @00W and @Calmwaters ? I know @00W is working but he jumps in multiple times throughout the day.

I do not know what cuckoo fish are exactly.
Everything seems to be getting renamed lately but sounds like a cichlid, maybe?
Pictures would help identify.
Moonlight gourami, another misnomer, maybe pearl gouramis usually can take care of themselves, especially if in a pair.
Not sure if you are asking if the gouramis will eat the cuckoo fish or the other way around.
Gouramis will nip at times but if you keep 2 together they'll usually concern themselves with each other.
