Hi folks,
I am hoping someone can give me a bit of advice. I just moved into a new apartment and much to my dismay, I am unable to use either one of my two RO/DI units. I have an under sink unit and an RO Buddie that I was able to just hook up to my kitchen faucet in my old place. NONE of the faucets in this place can be used with the RO Buddie and I am not permitted to hook up the under sink unit and I doubt there would be room for it anyway. I no longer drive so just heading out and buying RO water is out of the question. A friend suggested Culligan water. They have RO water. I ordered a few containers and when the water arrived the TDS count was 12. I don't really know what to do at this point as I am truly out of water options. Is there anyway I can reduce the TDS count? I am tempted to just roll the dice and hope for the best. Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not familiar with this brand, but any distilled water from any store will work in a pinch. I used distilled water the first few years in the hobby, its just as good as rodi water IMO

A TDS of 12 may or may not be alright. That Culligan water is, I believe, drinking water, and it's not a good idea to drink pure water, like RODI or Distilled water. Typically, purified drinking water is first RO filtered, then they add minerals back in to improve the taste for drinking water.

I would post a picture of your faucets, there's all kinds of RO adapters, likely there's one that will work for you.

Or, I would look to have actual distilled water delivered to your home. You can find distilled water at just about any grocery store, pharmacy, or big-box store. If you have a delivery service from any of these places, I'm sure you could order distilled water.

Good luck!

do you have a spigot for a washing machine that you might be able to use with your RO buddy?
Unfortunately, the apt does not come with a washer in the unit. I think I am just going roll the dice and and hope for the best.
