Hey @Jay Hemdal I have a clown that hasn't eaten in 4 to 5 days, she attempts to eat but spits it out and ive tried multiple different food. Ibe noticed the top of her eye is now pinched which I assume is malnutrition. A few days ago I noticed white stringy poop that was hanging on her behind. The surface of his body seems fine no bumps not spots no marks. And lastly hes fairly active haven't seen signed of her struggling to swim.

Ive move her to a small 5 gallon tank with some live rocks and all needed equipment and dosed one spoon of metroplex in the water. Is this the right course of action? We do not have generak cure where I am.

Should this be the right treatment how soon would u reckon till she starts eating again.

Metroplex treats internal flagellate protozoans and that is one cause for not eating/stringy feces. However, another cause is something called coccidia, and there is no treatment for that.

Are internal flagellate protozoans lethal? Or could fish come back from it with or without treatment?

Have you seen any tank aggression from other tank mates?

And remember just because you have not see it, does not mean it’s not happening.

Are internal flagellate protozoans lethal? Or could fish come back from it with or without treatment?

They are normal gut residents, but when they get out of control, they can cause disease. Sometimes, just adding more roughage to the diet will move enough of them out of the gut, other times, you need to dose metronidazole.
