Can I slice off the left side of this xenia without causing any issues?

It will probably be fine. Seriously xenia are tough cookies. Just snip it and net out the piece. It will be hard to hold onto, so I use a net.

Using a sharp pair of scissors, you can cut that "branch" off and should not have an issue. The xenia will pout and retract for a bit, but should be fine. You can then place that piece in a small cup with some rock rubble in it and it should attach to that.

Note: Sometimes with softies, fragging can make them melt. While usually not an often occurrence, I just want you to be aware of this. I have had this happen once with Xenia, but have fragged mine a 1000 times at least without issue.

Thank you so much for this. It is taking over a bit too much and it needs to be cut back. I hate to dispose of it but have no other use for it unless I take it to the lfs. I trimmed a couple branches a couple weeks ago and it came back with a vengeance. I wasn't sure about slicing down the middle though, so thank you again.
