No vids of this one. Every time I think about doing so, it takes a turn for the worse. lol

I'm sure I'll have some thoughts between the two systems. :)

@d2mini quick question about mixing station....

I'm tight on space inside house. I'm thinking of garage but living in FL gets hot in there.

How do you handle that with yours being outdoors? You're dealing with high temps also.

Do you mix outside and go straight into display/sump? Use a chiller? If not, what about mixing salt in warmer water... does it effect params?

Hoping I can do this in garage if at all possible.

Thx

It's usually not a big enough temp difference to make a difference.
If you are doing a 10-15% water change, a few degrees change overall in your water temp isn't really that big of a deal.
In extreme temps you could let it sit at room temp for a few hours to let the warm water cool off a bit or freezing cold water warm up.
In this case I'm bringing mine to my office so by the time I do that and then it sits there for awhile, its close to room temp.
When it was in my garage on my previous home setup I was doing auto water changes thought the day so the amount was much too small to make any difference.
I have not noticed any issues with mixing salt in different temps but I have never tested newly mixed saltwater other than the salt level.

Hows the tank doing?
That bad, huh.

LOL, actually it's not that bad. For this tank. But been dealing with the big tank lately.
This one is going through another bout of cyano. Chemiclean didn't even work this time. And still have a little bryopsis so need a second treatment of Fluconazole.
LPS look good. SPS still struggle but some are surviving.
I do like the Mitras. A lot.

Didn't seem to do much for me.
Other than maybe bring back my cyano.

I'm currently trying it in two different tanks, one has a major hair algae issue and it seems to tackle it nicely and my home tank is overtaken by valonia(hoping it will take care of that stuff).

Oh trust me. If you follow my big tank build, you'll see I most definitely show the bad. LOL!
But I'm pretty busy at the office. So I don't get a chance to take a lot of photos and keep this thread updated like I do for my home tank. :)
