What's interesting is that these are almost the same as my Blaze X's, except their less powerful.

Same pucks, but they lowered the wattage per Puck. My 36 inch Blaze X has 9 pucks. It would take more than 2 of the X4s to equal the amount of pucks and if we talk about wattage, it would take 3 or 4 X4s.

The issue is that X4s are EXPENSIVE. If you have to by a few of these, you're going to be deep into it.

Another gripe, they sold me my 2 new, then tried to sell me a new wifi module for like an extra 300 a piece. Then, it wasn't 6 months after I bought mine, they discontinued the Blaze X and even though I still have warranty, I can't even get a replacement fan from them.....they're super rude if they have to do something.

WWC wanted to try these after Dalua sent Rocky the Instagram guy about 4 grand in free lights lol. So they saw the opportunity and sent WWC some as well. These people are just pushing products based on what's free and what they get the best kick back on.

Again, the lights grow coral, no question. If I had it to do over, I would have went with Ecotech most likely as I've used many of their products in the past and they have fabulous customer service and have always taken care of me.

So, I just bought their SPS Beast Mode kit for my 90. I will compare it to the G5 I had. I switched to try something quieter with a more polished look. So far, their customer support has been great! I keep high-end acros, such as Angry Bird. I will keep everyone posted, from the app ecosystem to par values.

(3) illumagic x4's & (2) vitamini strips

What is the verdict?
Do they work better than your prior setup (G5s)?

Personally I am considering the GNC BluerRay X after viewing the Illumagic X4 in person. I am setting a new main display tank R150 from UNS and just about finished with my cycle.

At the moment I believe 2 GNC BlueRay X will do for my setup.

Appreciate your feedback -

How do the x4s compare to radion g5/g6 pro as far as spectrum and pop go now that you've seen the x4?

Well I went ahead and picked up a few of the GNC BlueRay X. I don't have any livestock in the tank yet but hoping to add CUC in 2 weeks once QT is done and then also move a few corals and fish (also in QT)

My experience was that I went back to radions. They did seem a bit dimmer compared to the radions at the time, even with the strips, I also wasn’t sure how long I could use beast mode for. I also was charged a bit for returning them back, which was a bit strange but I get it. They have to make a their money back, but they are used so little they could have been provided as a demo. Either way, it’s a good challenge to the current light space which I appreciate. However, they didn’t have the punch I was looking for. Good for a LPs or softies tank imo. Didn’t have them up long enough to take a pic to compare sorry!

😆 LPS tank or softy..... Bro they rock on SPS also. I don't even have them turned up to beast mode. Everyone has their brand they like & always want more par. They have different lenses to help with this also.

World Wide Corals is using them on their largest display tank and don’t have them turned up all the way. Polo Reef has them on their large drop down. Both tanks have SPS and both groups have said the lights are solid. I would take that as solid references for their use on SPS. In the end it is always preference but I would not be afraid to leverage them. They have fantastic warranty as well. Basically lifetime on lens and total light.

After the market speek...Still orders of magnitude better than others but......
Note though it doesn't seem to cover power supplies and/or driver ect. circuitry.
* Our no hassle lifetime warranty refers to the usable life of LED diodes and lenses, defined as up to 10 years under normal operating conditions.

Yes. It’s on the lens and diodes. Interesting their diode circuits are also replaceable and or changeable. So you can mix and match color pallets to suit your needs. And they are coming out with new bluer diode sets in the coming year. You can see more here:

I don’t have any direct experience with either, but have heard great things about both. The interchangeable clusters and lenses on the X’s is what made me go with them. I also wanted to try something different.
How are you liking your x4's

I like them. I have three over a new 6 foot tank and they put out a lot of light. The app is fine. There are a couple things I would change to make it intuitively easier but it is pretty good as is.
