That's really nice! Very nice contrast between centers, inner ring and darker outer ring.

That is micromussa, not acan?

Thanks for All the complements. It was from a wholesaler as a "Rainbow Micro Mussa" and I am pretty confident that what species it is but I have been wrong in the past and will be plenty of times in the futre LOL...There are some pics below from when I first got it.. Its currently on my sand bed with Low/Moderate Flow with 250W 14K and T5 Actinic and Purple supplement. Thats what the Pics are all taken under as well.. And yes as a couple of you said and what I like so much about this coral is how the colors contrast so much with such sharp and intricate lines. LOVE THE YELLOW/GOLD SLITS for eyes..

The darth maul micromussa is one of my favs as well, glad to see another reefer with one!

I started off with 1 full head and 2 half heads. It was $25 a head... but I love black and red schemes so I couldn't help myself!:

Here it is a few months later:

And here it is now, it's already completely covered the frag plug! My photo is a bit more washed than Reeferguy's, but looking at the growth shots they're the same.

If Reeferguy's maul is the same as mine, maybe you forgot to mention the awesome teal colored feeding tentacles. :)

That coral has swag.

Where did you guys get it?

I got it from a LFS that wasn't suppose to be sold. It was I'm a tank acclimating for the 700g display reef and I saw it and offered a decent amount for the colony and one of the employees sold it to me not knowing it was much more expensive then what I paid. They next day I went in and saw there was 2 frags of it and asked the owner " Hey what are those acan frags" and he replied " oh no there not acans they are rainbow micro mussa's and I have the mother colony right over here so you can see what it Loo Loo Looks Li......... ?!?!??!?! what the heck is the colony " and I replied "oh I bought it last night" and well he wasn't very happy for bout 15 minutes and the. We mulled everything over Lololol it was pretty good. Anyway I believe it cane from the wild out of Australia and am not sure who started calling it a "Darth Maul" Micro not that it's a bad name but I was Going to call it the StarFire MicroMussa. Never seen a morph like it for sale. Maybe you will see a frag of it in a LPS pack I throw on here soon.
