Dead base of toadstool?

Will I have to frag this toadstool in order for it to stand up right? If so how!? Or is the base dead? It was caught between two rocks and has ended up this shape.

If it attached itself there then it’s probably fine. Does it Ever fully open up? IME they prefer to be lower in the tank in the sand or near a rock to attach to.

No it came on the piece of rock at the base, this now has algae and detritus on it. It looks like the actual base has moved upwards towards the shroom part. If that makes sense
