Decided to give another clam a try after hearing that sometimes clams just die. This time I went bigger as I heard the chance of success is greater. This guy is about 3.5inches.

I had a 7" maxima for 2+ months that looked great then the very next day it was dead with No previous hints of stress. Great water conditions and lighting. The Clam looked like this all the time. Wish I knew why it died over night. Good Luck and try again.

Wow that was a pretty clam. Well correct me if I'm wrong but aren't maximas harder to keep than the derasa clam?
