I just acquired one of the DSA Neo Nano tanks from my LFS stock that they were parting out after their store was lost to the tornadoes here in April. My question is have any of you here owned one of their tanks and what were your thoughts on them?

Neo Nano | Deep Sea Aquatics Custom Aquariums

I liked the look of it when the store had it is why I got it but I didn't really know too much about it. So I wanted to get y'all's thoughts.

Thanks,

Dave

They make nice lookdown tanks. Not too tall with the stock stand. Make sure when you plumb it that you install a small piece of rigid airline tubing pointing up higher than tank water level in the two elbows on the overflows where they exit the back glass of the tank to prevent air slurping noises. The cascade return down the PVC thing in the middle of the tank is surprisingly quiet. If I had one I'd probably use it as a clam tank or a frag tank or an anemone tank.

Thanks for the input! I will make sure I do that. I was thinking about making it a chalice/welso tank.

I love those tanks. Wanted one originally but couldn't justify the price tag. Keep us updated!

Thanks for the input everyone! I loved the tank when my LFS had it set up. I got it for a steal too. I just hate that they lost their business in the tornadoes. They are all great guys and I hope that one day they come back! I got the tank, a ecoxotic panorama LED fixture, sump, skimmer and stand for $400. I think I got a heck of a deal. Now to get it cleaned up and stocked!!!

I can't wait to get home and set this tank up!! Thanks for the pictures!! Looks like a sweet set up! Are you using anything else for flow besides the return?
