Doing a 96x36x36 and looking at the Radion XR30 pro to get to the sand. Mostly LPS and if SPS it will be near the top.

rock will be 2 islands with some features and caves but want plenty of swim/grow room around rocks and above.

Per the Echotech website it says the XR15 will go 30. But nothing on the XR30s.

Thoughts.

I would not use the radion xr15/30 g6 for a deep tank. I have the xr15 and they are weak the xr30 are more powerful but the wide angle lenses are gonna be an issue.

Reefi uno 2.0s and reef breeders meridians seem to be better from what I've read. I don't have experience with either tho.

IMHO for deep tanks: Orpheks, XR30, Meridians , or comporable. IDK the XR15's would reach much.
I have a 31" deep tank and it takes alot to get good par down to bottom.

I believe you are going to get various opinions. One thing to know that a lot of this can be offset with proper aquascape and coral choices. Split the aquarium into 3 or 4 rows and place accordingly. Not sure what type of system you are going to have but you do not want to place a table Acropora high as it will cause shade just like you don't want a Montipora doing the same thing. There can be a thing as too much light just as there is a thing that success is more than a PAR number. Do not mean to state the obvious but something to remember.

The XR15 G6 is about 105 watts while the XR30's are about 215 watts. I do not own either of those kits but obviously mounting height will come into place as will the spread factor. If you like the Radions then I don't see a concern. I grow corals just fine with my Neptune SKY's over a 30" tall display. More to success than a PAR number.

I do not recommend lighting but if PAR numbers are your jam do a search on telegraham or dana riddle as they both do tests. telegraham more recently and has done reeffi, atlas, and a few others maybe. Don't hold me to that though - just passing along what you can search on.

36" tall display + mounting height - substrate depth. Lower light corals bottom, plating or tables middle to low. Sticks or tall growing corals up top. Something along those lines.

Good luck.

The XR30s with the high intensity kit might reach the 36” bottom but you are going to need a ton of them. Like 8-10 of them.

I’d look at other options first. Giesemann V12 may cover the 36” front to back and you’d only need 2 fixtures. Like half the cost of the Radions. Look up Viking Reefing and his channel.

Gen 2 Nicrew 200s with the 90° reflectors would be WAY cheaper and every bit as good, if not better, than the Radions. They use Radion mounting hardware so that makes it easy to hang them over the tank. Just need the RMS rail and hanging kit

Thanks for the info. I’m not stuck on Radion just what I have now on a 36x36 cube.

Have no desire to spend 8k on lights. Just want a good light that offers moon and adjustability similar to my experience with Radion. Don’t want Chinese box lights or diy lights etc.

What else do you want or need?
Can you ceiling/hang mount? Have a hood?
Need style
Does the tank have opaque braces? Number and spacing.
By moon do you mean just moonlight or full blown lunar scheduling?
Or any other incidentals.

Maybe rule out a few more.. You already eliminated diy and BB's. What about starting with a base lighting like 3 Quanta Atlas "industrial" style for 720 watts, 0-10v programming for dim/schedule and no color channels.
Adding color tunable "side lights" would start to fit your bill.

Small symmetric puck style lights , you may need like 10 of them.

You may want to consider more "commercial" models from Orphek or Kessil.
60 degree lenses, 1 m hanging height covers front/back 36" So 3...

Narrow lenses hung high gives a more even spread over your depth

The Geis V12 or Radion will be the way I go.

I don’t need to grow SPS on the sand.

Also tank will be 36 wide and tall but I plan to have tall scapes and want 3” min from glass to rock on sides.
