Never thought I’d say this. I have some zoas on the way. Time to isolate from the rest of the rock work!

I guess this would depend on what your definition of "major changes" is? For me that would be like me changing out the rock work. Even when I changed out the rock work I cycled the new rock going into the tank.

Adding/removing equipment wouldn't necessarily fall into that category in my opinion. I recently changed refugium lights, I don't think that is a major change. My amazon light is still hanging in my tank and if the tunze doesn't produce I can submerge it into the water and hit the fuge with light from multiple angles.

My opinion is what you mentioned above. I would also say adding/removing, skimmer, fuge, sand, lighting, and turf scrubber.

I'm sure I'll go through some changes myself, it's part of the fun of the hobby.

I removed the turf scrubber long ago, the skimmer was next and has been gone for a year now. I've had the radions for a few years now. I actually started my tank bare bottom since I mixed the salt in my display, a couple of months after the tank was running I added the sand. The sand has been in the tank for many years now, I will not be removing it!

Unless my mind is blank I don't think I've made that many major changes, most tend to be small. I was never really happy with the rock in the tank. When I got the chance to swap it out I jumped on it! Now that I actually like it its downhill from here! Well, I have to get my phosphates to decent levels first! haha I am working on that!
