Every year with this AC unit. It stopped working today. Yeah equipment cabinet is a mess, I prefer it that way. I don’t need or want it “tidy”... keeping an eye on the tank temp, I refuse to call after hours support on the AC. Luckily the temp here is mild, in the upper 60’s. For those that keep your wires tucked more power to you!

Yeah I have two AC units, every danged August or September something died. I just started keeping spare parts like capacitors and relays in the garage.

Tank came along way as of late. Coral and fish is looking awesome.

Home improvements are nice too. Give you credit moving the tank.

The last year of Reefing been the most rewarding and challenging yet! Hahaha keep pushing forward is all we can do!

A year and a half now without the skimmer... Seems like yesterday! Want to buy a Deltec that doesn’t work?? ;)

Team no skimmer.... forget about ph! Haha

Time to cut up some filter floss, make some nitrates and knock out a super sized water change!

Thanks for the info on Nitrate dosing. It’s been a week and most coral are starting to improve.
How long do you keep nitrate mix. My guess is keep sun away it should last awhile

@pelphrey I came across your build as I was researching whether to get maxspect gyres or tunzes.

Having had both, what is your verdict? Do you prefer one over the other? How come?

TIA

I keep the bottle in my stand, I’ve used the same bottle/mixture for months!

I love the low profile of the Gyre, and the 230’s weren’t hard to clean! Being able to run two pumps off one controller was awesome!

Equally the Tunze are your easy to clean... unfortunately the Tunze controller has to travel with the pump. Whereas the Gyre unplugged.

Because I can point the Tunze and mount them on the back wall they fit for me! My 230 gyres always had a slight hum which was annoying. My Tunze pumps are silent.

Both are great, I like my current selection!

Did a 30 gallon water change on Sunday, completed another 30 gallon water change today. Whatever was going on with the tank will hopefully level off now. Yeah, testing..... I haven’t done that at all! I know, I need to!

Both! Seeing a lot more color in there than the older pics and it looks great! Im due for an upgrade around New Years. Dont usually care but camera advances are always nice!

I think both as well, not as blue! This phone has 3 lenses so everything is so crisp!!!
