Hi,

I've had a diamond back goby for over a year now and he's mostly lived along the sanded and under the rocks.

Lately he's begun swimming around in the water column, apparently eating. This is new. Should we be worried about him? He had a parasite on one of his eyes for a while. Our cleaner shrimp seemed to get most of it off. He seems healthy otherwise but we don't know if he can see out of it now.

Could be starving to death...that always motivates "new behaviors". But fish are smart – he could also just be patterning after one of his tank mates.

They do get 8-10" long sometimes, so they need quite a bit of food at the size they are normally acquired.
