I had a RKL set up a couple of years ago. I moved and didn't set it back up. I am trying to set it back up now and I am having a lot of trouble. Problem 1 was I have a Microsoft Surface. Apparently, myreef2.0 doesn't work with a surface. Bought a used laptop. My reef2.0 issue solved. Now my system doesn't recognize my sl1 and the sid doesn't pick it up either when connected directly. I do get several ??????? when the sid is connected to the entire system. I have tried many times to contact digital aquatics by email and phone and never get an answer. I have been able to update all firmware with the exception of the sl1. Any suggestions?

Search for instructions on doing an interrupted update. Then select the ?????? In myreef2.0 and then select which device it is. It should reinstall it's firmware and give it a new serial number.

Also make sure that the sl-1 is the only thing plugged into the sid

I don't get the ?????? when only the sl1 module is plugged in. So there isn't anywhere to get an update.

You may have a bad SL1 module. The replacement is the SLX module.

The light flashes on the sl1 when connected to sid but it never shows up on myreef.

That showed when I did an interrupted update. After selecting the device from the drop down list it re-installed the firmware.
