I feel your pain we lost quite a few coral before I found a plan of action.Wow... I looking very much forward to starting this this weekend. I will post updates. Lost my last 2 snails. Total loss of 15 snails and 2 fire shrimps. Have only hermits left. Glass is Turing brown from no clean up crew.
Well we thank you for taking on these common issues we all suffer from. [emoji41]I feel your pain we lost quite a few coral before I found a plan of action.
There are still a few that are hanging on like my Duncan but he isn't looking good. My daughter is upset as she is the frager and seller of these corals.
We almost tore it down but I am no quitter!
Oh yes that's my new job in lifeWell we thank you for taking on these common issues we all suffer from. [emoji41]
Both, it has strands that reach up but most of it is just thick and covers everything. I've been fighting it for a couple years honestly, gets tolerable or I turn lights off for a few days at a time and it is OK for a week or so until it becomes unbearable again. I've tried peroxide by the gallons a year ago. Helped but eventually was ineffective. I've changed all water and tried complete blackouts which were very effective for longer but it always came back.I will remind you buddy!
How long have you had it in the tank? Is it the thin strand look or the clumps?
Hey buddy mix with tank water first.Hey Big T one more ? For you do I mix in tank water first or can I just put it in the tank
It is 125mg per 10 gallonsSorry if this was mentioned, but what dose are you guys using of metronidazole per gal of water? Is it once per day and for how many days? Thanks
Hi! Thank you for coming in!Sent my sample to Twilliard and he's not 100% sure but we think it is a protozoan type algae or parasite.
The green areas are showing cell division.
I decided to give Dr. Tims Waste-away a shot since it does have a snotty sludgy appearance.
I started with the recommended half dosage for my tank which was 15ml. Lights were turned off. Day 2 with lights off I did the recommended full dosage of 30ml. After day two I have experienced the "white cloud" stated on the bottle.
No visible change so far. In fact, nothing appears to have change other than slowed growth, most likely due to lights being off.
Next step is wait for the white cloud to disappear and begin MetroPlex treatment. Not sure if I should do lights out with it?
