this stuff is in the mixing station, not sure if it’s safe to use.
I saw it about a month ago, and I emptied out the water and cleaned the brute trash can, and made some more water, let it sit for about and week and when I was gonna do a water change today. This stuff was all in the water

That image looks like a Van Gogh (Starry Nights). I'm not really certain what I am looking at, but guessing some kind of bacteria growth or sediment deposit. Is the circulation on, and can you shut that off and snap another picture, or grab a sample of what you are seeing and put it is a smaller container, with a contrasting background and provide additional images.

I'm thinking pods, or sand, or flocculant, possibly?

Do you let it go dry, or could pods be growing in the tub? Great idea if you get pods that can handle routine osmotic shocks.
No, the cans never been dry, this is the second time this has happened in a year of having this mixing station lol

Mabye precipitation or sitting to long with out a lid I keep my mixed water for longer and it's fine but I do bottle the mixed salt watter in those airtight Jerry cans. And I only open it when I need to use it
It could be sitting long, it was sitting just circulating for about a week, but I always have the lid on.

I had reef crystals really make a mess out of my mixing station and after I finished the bucket I noticed the bucket itself became stained never used reef crystals again
That’s what I used this time, I’ve always used redsea blue bucket

Yeah reef crystals if you mix it to warm it gets wierd I had to mix while the water is cold then heat after words or it would preticpate or mixing too fast doubt it was that or salt sitting for to long opened
Makes it do that to if it's floating it's probably preticpated out like when u dose calcium and alk to close to each other that happens too

I’m debating if I should use it or take the loss and just make a new batch lol
