Ditching Jebao Need Suggestions!

I am ditching my Jebao mdp-2300 on the 150g. I can’t deal with this thing having a mind of its own. What would be the best replacement pump that would be everyone’s goto?

I like the sicce sdc pump, never had an issue with mine.

Is the SDC line worth the extra money versus the ADV line??

My Jebao pump has a mind of its own, randomly changing the flow on the controller. If I turn it to 50 within a few hours its down to 27 automatically.

The ADV is AC which is almost always louder than DC. There is no controller on the ADV so it jsut runs full blast and you can't tune it without using a ball valve. Every Sicce pump I have owned hates back pressure from a ball valve. They get super loud.

So if you know the ADV flow rating is what you want and need, then get that. I will take DC, control, and silence any day

Just get a replacement Jebao. Majority of other pumps are all the same or overpriced.

I've been using jebao wave makers for the past 5 years, they been great and reliable. Never had issues. Are you sure it's not the user or maybe you got unlucky, could always try warranty?

Unfortunately it's a lot of trial and error, the manuals are a bit how you going lol. But overall they are good quality once figured out

What does yours do? Mine has never changed settings but now I should probably watch it if there is some problem with them.

I may have a defective unit, i am wondering if maybe the controller is bad?

Luckily I bought through Amazon so I will probaly do a return and try the Varios-6

Id bet you good money that the varios is the same pump as the Jebao just with different branding. Just exchange for a different Jebao.

My skimmer is a varios, my return pump is a jeabo.

They seem to be the same thing :)
