DIY 30x30x18 rimless cube!!!!

I wish I could have done my intakes lower in my tank, but it was already drilled up top, so I went with it.

You think one intake will be enough? Or do you have another somewhere? What size is it? Cavitation was a big concern for me, so I went with 2 1 1/2" intakes.

2" drain with 4 one inch returns.... It should be enough I have a adapter to place a bigger drain if need be I took into consideration the strainer might block a lot of flow so I have a 3" strainer I can screw into the 2" plumbing there.... It was the same setup I used on my dart return when I had my huge tank with the baldor dart and it rocked.... Funny thing was back when I did my 500 with all that when I bought the dart the guy gave me a 4 way manifold but nothing else just a block of PVC with holes.... Well it has a 1.5" intake on the bottom and 4 one inch outlets... Needless to say I mocked up all plumbing with it while I awaited mine in the mail.... The complete unit shows up and it has a 2" inlet with four 1.5" outlets.. had to redo everything lol.... Oh well that's what I get for jumping the gun....

Half full or half empty?????

Nope cementing the rocks inside the display lol.... Had to drain it... got the scape half way done thou.....1smile1 so far me likes....1smile1 now I just gotta worry about a ph spike from the cement... Marco claims it's potable water safe so not sure how it will effect the chemistry... Trying to keep it to a minimum as possible... The cement anyways lol...btw hard to tell but there is a bunch of rocks coming out just using them as props until the cement cures..

Well not totally done gotta make my spray foam fitting for the one closed loop that shows in the front then it's done and hang a light...

I'm sold. My next tank will be closed loop. I like the rock a lot. Can you post a photo taken looking straight at the tank?

I have one question about acrylic, how do you clean coralline algae off of it without scratching the acrylic?

Looking great Troy Lee! Just wondering what type of cement you used to bond your rock together? Sorry if I missed that info in a previous post. I've been looking for something to bond rock together that can be put in the tank soon after application that won't affect water params. Thanks in advance.
