Why did you opt to use a ATO reservoir without a lid? How many gallons does that hold?

Never had a lid on any of mine.... I like the ease of easy acsess and easy to fill is there a reason why I should have one???? What am I missing here? It holds a little over 8gallons...

I keep a lid on all of mine to help eliminate evaporation from the ATO reservoir and contaminants like dust from entering it as well.

Evap is not gonna be a issue with me as for the dirt and all that's wishful thinking I have a 45gal. Sump next to it with a open top so kind of pointless....:sad:

Btw here is shot with the lights on and the new rock cover for the cl....
One more piece of PVC that needs to go it will be replaced by a signature nem but for now it keeps the baby snocassos safe and sound... Debating a clear mesh top or not but I'm thinking I'm gonna have to if one of the fish in this tank jump it's gonna be heartbreaking and very costly..... :(

tanks looking awesome Troy....if your clowns decide to not host the nem,just decorate their PVC cave like you did the CL outputs,it would be a good idea anyway,they'll probable prefer the PVC cave for laying eggs because of the smooth sides and it'd be easy to move to a breeding tank to raise the babies in if you decide to try to raise 'em

Nah there gonna host the nem if it's the last thing I ever do haha!!!!! Prolly would have been instantly if I didn't put that PVC in there that's gimme make it hard to get them out of..... Hmmmmm as for breeding them if they spawn in a year or 2 I would prolly give it a shot these guys are only 3.5 months old so that won't be happening any time soon....

Notto mention the entire tank is open top rimless lol! Looks awesome Troylee, really loving the snowcassos too!! You are brave man not running a net on there for when you leave the house. I keep mine covered I couldn't stand to lose my clowns to carpet surfing. I just pull the net off when Im checking out the tank, the net doesn't really other me at all anymore TBH.

Just my 2 cents, I liked some of your mock-up aquascaping a little better. Your final one seems a bit heavy on the rock usage is all and not much open space is all.

Also loving the clownfish!

gotta love moon lights i have em on my jbj 28 and love lookin at my fish movin around under that light also the tentacles of all the corals looks great Glad you got them back

He mentioned that he is going to be taking some of the rock out and has some extra mature pieces in there right now to help seed the tank. Looks great, I wish i had some moonlights haha.

yeah Sara there is a bunch coming out i got a extra 30lbs or so like 5 pieces in there from my current display to seed the system for now..... the sump was jam packed and a real pita to get into so i just dropped them in the display for now..... even with them in there it doesn't look crowded in person... haha.. btw thanks for stopping by....im thinking this week hopefully i can start stocking it just patiently awaiting my signature nem it had a little trouble so im waiting on a full recovery before shipping well at least a clean bill of health... once it has found a home it's on like donkey kong!!!!haha

man they make it so much more enjoyable..... better than a flash light driving the fish nuts all night peeking around haha..... maybe i can catch a coral spawning now, i know they have in the past i wake up once in awhile and the skimmer would be overflowing for no apparent reason....:tongue:

Snapped a couple quick pics of my awesome tricolor valdia gone brown since I stuck it under mh lighting... This thing looked sick under LEDs a couple days ago... The minute I moved it I saw the effects of the LEDs.... Hmmm I will do a progression deal with this colony and see how
It colors back up...1smile1
