My daughter wants nemo in her room so I'm thinking snocasso or Wyoming whites and another new bubble tip a real sick one.... I saw a new one that hasn't hit the market yet that I really loved should make her a great tank....just wandering how the nem will hold up under pcs??? Shouldn't be bad it's a shallow tank.. I did it in the past with a rose bubble tip..

the power compacts just wont do it. they also have a gross yellow tint to them.

I'm thinking aBout it... I personally feel that those pcs are more than enough light thou... I kept every Sps and a nem under pcs on my first tank and they thrived.... LEDs would be cool but without a dimmer I feel is gonna be to much and I can't afford a Apex for it haha..

PCs would be fine I'd think, but their color sure makes everything kinda ugly. I wouldn't wanna display an awesome nem under their drab lighting imo. I think it would do just fine under it though.

How far away is it from your apex now, could you link it to your current one for the dimming options? But I agree pcs will do just fine and there are a lot better ones out there today than what there were years past uvl actually makes some nice one could always go a 70-150w de halide too!

New tank would be up stairs my apex is down stairs.. Not sure how that would work or if I could do it wireless.. If I have to run cables forget it :cry:

Back to maybe the halide Troy simple one bulb and with the right fan it would be safe for the little one I have a fan on my triple halides and I can hold my hand on the glass cover no problem there are actually a couple of really nice 20k 70w de bulbs man or there is always the 150w radium ;-)

They have viper clip on mh with fans, look up viper clip on metal halide, you should find something.

Hey bro you can retro up a decent one with parts from aquacave fairly cheap put 2 4" fans on the sides blowing air in towards the fixture and one on the back sucking air out and it'll be warm to the touch pm me for links about what I'm talking about as far as retro parts!!
