I'm hoping man just trying to figure out a light... I have that ati fixture I keep talking about and tons of halides ballast and bulbs... Might just go back to 250w radiums.... Debating if I should hack up the ATi or sell it and buy a retro....

I would guess the pump that you were previously talking about. I think a single 250 halide would be the way to go. Keep it simple and effective

Yeah got a light...:) found a 24" fixture local it's got a 250w hqi and 4 t5s should be perfect.... Just ordered all new bulbs they will be here tomorrow I got a phoenix 14k "first time trying them" and 2 ati purple plus and 2 ati blue plus hope it looks good.....1smile1 also got my rack built for the dosing pumps and currently building a liquid storage unit for the chemicals the pumps will dose...

You won't regret the Phoenix man unless you want bluer give the neuco aquastar 20k (deep blue star) a try got them going on a clients tank switched from radiums and the added pop is night and day!

I saw that light and thought of you. Its the same light that im running on my 100 cube, but my light is the 30" with 4x24 t-5's. I did the exact same thing that your doing. I swaped out all the cheapo bulbs. I went with the XM 15k and swap out actinics for the exact same combo. Im really happy with the color. Its not to blue. I'm happy that I didnt go with the 20k. To mix things up a little, I run my light from front to back instead of side to side. I think it gives me a little eastier access to the tank. You can do that kinda of stuff on a cube. :wink:

i have never saw a phoenix in person i always ran radiums.... and xm20k back in the day....

Here is the black acrylic rack/shelf I built to hold my dosing pumps I bought these a year ago and just took them out of the box for the first time... Haha laziness!!!!!! And a idea I'm throwing around to hold the liquids..trying to think outside the box and the norm just make a nice 7reactor combo lol...:tongue:

7 dosing pumps? Ca, alk, Mg, and what else? Are you going to be doing your vodka/MB7 dosing with the pumps as well?

Yeah vodka, mb7, potassium, Strotium, and maybe my top off if the pump can hang with the evaporation if not maybe .01 ml of amino acids or something haha....
Got some lick em and stick em LEDs from work just put them around the inside perimeter of the stand so a flip of the switch on the dj strip I got daylight under the stand to work and check things.... Really nice addition...1smile1
