DIY All in One Plumbing Question

I am plumbing a DIY 5.5 gallon all in one and had quesitons about how to set up the return.

I have a few options that I want feedback on.

Looks like my waterbox 10... I'm drilled for a 1/2 in bulkhead, so I need to figure out the best way to use it. I am thinking I should have just used an elbow and locline and forgone the bulkhead entirely, but that isn't an option anymore.

You can use the small bulkhead and a threaded barbed elbow on one side and the threaded locline on the other. it just gives you a hair less room in there is all. Both will function the same and maintenance might actually be easier in your case. I have to unscrew the locline on mine to get the pump out for cleaning.
