So the king of diy a long time ago made a diy skimmer with a pvc and water bottles. My question is if anyone knows how much this could skims and if it would be sufficient for a 35g
It seems small for 35 gallons but could be a skimmer to start a system with but be aware that a bigger version or multiple small ones would be needed as the system is stocked.

Or that hang on skimmer. Does anyone have any good experience with HOB skimmers? Are they better or worse than regular etc
I've never used one but all of the tiny internal skimmers I've used have been really hard to keep tuned. Back in the day I had the old Reef Octopus hang on skimmer. That was pretty decent.

Never mind, I just looked them up and that are stupidly expensive.

That looks pretty similar to the Bubble Magus. I'd give it a try.

Also, this just came up in my discovery.
