Im so mad. my clownfish bred for first time and put eggs on the goniopora they hosted in. i spent $200 on a new tank, heater, bubbler, and live rotifers. i really wanted to raise them. when they got REALLY close to hatching i moved the goni into the quarantine tank. next day i check and 2 bristlworms are crawling at that spot and all the eggs are gone and i dont think they hatched i dont see any. I HATE BRISTLEWORMS SO MUCH

Bristle worms are good. Don’t misinterpret their behaviour.

They are probably eating the eggs that have been abandoned. Probably because the eggs became moldy or were dying or dead for some other reason.

Clownfish would deter a bristle worm if it needed too.

i followed directions on the video i watched that was breeding the eggs. in that video he removed the eggs once the eyes developed because once that happens, they are within a day or so of hatching. i left the parents in the main tank.
i wish i hadnt. they probably woulda protected them.....
i just did a little research and it does say bristleworms will eat them........ it says bristleworms usually stick to detritus, but will absolutley take advantage of a group of eggs

Clowns should protect the eggs if the eggs are viable.

Anyway, they will likely breed again soon, so you’ll get another go at raising them.
