Do you keep your RODI water moving?

So I have a little 10 gallon tank I use for my RODI topoff. I noticed the tank walls get grimy over time, so I put a little powerhead in there to keep the water moving constantly. That didn't seem to make much of a difference so not sure it is worth the electricity.

So, does anyone else keep their RODI water moving in its container? I didn't want it to get stagnant sitting there for 3-6 days while waiting to be put into my tank.

Not me. I think the bacteria will propagate on the micronutrients in the water, if it’s moving or not.

Edit - thinking about it, it’s probably a good thing, in a very tiny sort of way.

Nope. And i dont worry about the small amount of black biogrowth inside either.
Once every year ill tear it down and clean it out with citric acid for maintenance.

Nope. It sits in sealed buckets until I I need to make new saltwater for a water change.

as long as it’s covered, a month or longer, apart from a few that have special enzymes in it such as some of the tropin Marin salts. Then only 24 hours.

I keep ro water is air tight 5 gallon jugs. I keep 10 gallons of prepared saltwater (fully mixed and aerated) in air tight 5 gallon buckets. The only water I circulate is a 15g bin I use to do water changes. As I remove water to do water changes I replace that water with the bucket saltwater.
