i use a skimmer pump with a venturi in my mixing station that is hooked to a timer where it runs for a couple minutes every other hour, on a constant cycle everyday.... i mix 60 gallons at a time in big drums.....;)

I aerate the water when my RODI auto Top off tank runs out and enough water evaporates that my return pump starts sucking air........

I have a 35 gallon Brute that I have modified..... I have a little giant pump connected to the bottom of the bin returning in the top, so I can take water from the bottom back to the top for great mixing and circulation. I also have my RO/DI unit plumbed through the side with a float valve set for 30 gallons. I let the RO/DI fill the bin then add salt and removed my down tube for areation. I let my salt mix for 48 hours with a heater to maintain equal tank temp, do a series of water test to match the display. I also added a T in line on the return so I can open a ball vavle and pump my FSW to the display. If you all want pics I can add them just ask.

LOL....is that on purpose??

I do what Stun said except for the heating part. Maxijet or similar pointing straight up to the water surface and add salt about 3 cups at a time and stir for a few seconds, walk away, let dissolve, and repeat until I reach 1.025.

I do about 18g water change for around a 250g system. The cold salt water doesnt even drop my temp by more than 0.2 degrees when I add it to the system

I aerate before and after mixing salt. I read somewhere that it helps to stabilize the PH. Not sure if it helps but I know it doesn't hurt so why not.
