Wow, thats something.

Naso tend to get stress spots but that's pretty serious.

Any other symptoms? (Flashing, scratching, heavy breathing, spots, swimming in to powerheads, hiding from light, behaving cryptic, etc)

My tank is 220 gallon. I have about 20 fish. Can the other fish get velvet. I am going to have a hard time trying to catch this fish. Can velvet be treated in display tank. How much time before this will kill the fish. A lot of questions. First time with a sick fish

I entered a tang without quarantine and velvet outbreak. Killed the entire tank in 3 days. On day 3 I was trying to get everything left our and the last couple died the next day. 2 small clowns and a niger trigger. 7 fish dead in a very short period of time. Listen to @Humblefish, he has helped me more than once and when it comes to disease and parasite, hes the man.

That link posted above is full of the info you need. But to answer your questions directly: Yes, if one fish has it, they all have it. There is no real way to treat for velvet in the display.... at least not effectively. Every tank and fish is different, so I can only give you generalities at this point, and usually velvet will kill very quickly. I'm sorry for your sick fish, but you will want to take quick and decisive action to save your fish.

Update
A day after my first post of my blonde naso's pictures. I did catch him and started treatment. Five minute fresh water bath then put him in ruby reef for about 90 minutes then put him in cupramine. Everything was looking pretty good. Two days later he was belly up. My fish in my display are not showing any signs of anything. If this was velvet could it still be in my display??

Yes. If one has it, they all have it. They key here is if the remaining fish are able to develop some kind of short term immunity to it. That depends on several factors like diet, immune system and slime coat thickness among other things.

If velvet is still present in the tank, your fish have acquired immunity. However, any new fish you add may not enjoy this same immunity and could trigger another outbreak.

That depends on the species of the fish and the individual immune system of said fish. It can be different for all involved. Odds are, not long though.

Came home today from work. My purple tang is covered in white spots. My DP tank is infected with velvet. Should I be trying to catch all my fish and start treatment on all or is it to late. What should I be doing next??

Ok the bad news, Velvet is the worst. Like others have said it can wipe out your tank. If you have coral in your main tank, nothing you can do as any treatment will kill your coral. Your fish will either live or die but most will die, I was left with one 6 line wrasse and all other fish were dead in a week. You will have to either never add another fish and just have what survives this or remove all fish and let your tank sit fallow without any fish for at least 60 days to ensure the velvet dies off. A fallow tank is really the only way to get rid of it as it feeds off your fish and will live in there forever if it has a host. While fallow some say a strong UV will help kill them in the swimming stage.

Good luck, this will be your worst aquarium experience by far. I felt totally helpless as most do with Velvet.

There are some treatments like copper but you need a qt tank like today and need to start treatment right away while your fish are still strong.

Yes!! Get them into the QT and treat asap. It would be best if you could do the acriflavin dip first, but anything is better than nothing. Get started and best of luck!
