So I have a RS Max Nano AIO.

I would like to set up dosing pumps, but they typically require having the pump heads above the sump, which in this case would put the unit above the tank - not very appealing to look at.

Are they dosing pumps that might work?

Keep in mind that this is a small volume tank, so I'm dosing not more that 1 - 2 ML daily.

Another question, if the pumps can "pull" up to the pump head from the container, it would seem that it could push it up to the tank rim - no?

Anyway, I'm looking for suggestions on how I could add dosing (at least three pumps) that would dose 1 - 2 ml per day.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Not all dosing pumps need to be above the sump. I used a refurbished medical grade pump that could dose very, very small amounts as frequently as evry few minutes. I dosed soda ash for alk and it kept my pH about 0.2 higher than 'normal'. But the pH effect is short lived which is why I used a dosing pump that could dose so frequently. My old pump would dose every hour and my pH would go up and down every hour. It's not a big deal at 0.2, but I wanted it smoothed out.

That's interesting.

It would be nice to know which of the "hobby" dosing pumps I might be able to consider for my setup.

So... why can’t you dose the sump?

Being an AIO, the "sump" is the back of the display area of the tank.

I am dosing now with a dp4. I had to calibrate the heads to 50 ml instead of the 100 ml they suggested to get any pump to dose 1 ml.
