Hey there! I've been lurking for a bit but figured it was time to introduce myself. Currently getting back into the hobby after 10+ years. Already having fun researching and going down the many rabbit holes of this hobby.

First tank was a 55 gallon some friends gave us. Had a few chromis, a blenny, and I think one other fish I can't remember, plus a cleaner shrimp (love those guys).
Nothing fancy, didn't even add coral, but had some polyp thingy grow which was cool.

Getting back into it I ended up buying a 75gal setup used. I quickly realized it was too large so I temporarily set it up in the garage to keep the rock going along with some CUC. Fish went to a LFS to get a good new home. Started planning a 30 gallon tank with a sump but I wanted something inside sooner so I'm currently in the middle of setting up a IM15 with a noopsyche mini for lighting.

Dream fish at the moment would be a Mandarin Dragonette but that'll be down the line once I get the 30gal set up with a refugium and pods and running for a while. In the meantime, I'm looking at a firefish, cleaner shrimp, and pistol shrimp and goby pair for the IM15 as a start.

Very excited to be back in the hobby and a part of this awesome community. :D

Welcome to the reef. R2R is such a valuable source. Didn’t have it when I started in the 80’s. Took some time off and when I got back into it 2 years ago, the internet really changed it for me. Almost all searches directed me here, and I have found that the answers I get are generally pretty solid. Still take your time though and don’t always accept the first answer as the right one. What works for one person doesn’t always transfer across. Best of luck with your journey.
