This is my first tank. When I installed my durso I glued it in not knowing any better. Now my problem is that the durso is set too low and I get a loud waterfall noise from the overflow box. I hard plumbed everything underneath so I can’t take out the bulkhead and I don’t have enough room too cut out the tube from the durso to adjust it. Any suggestions?

Is it a DIY setup with straight PVC? Or is it a commercial one like the pic attached? Can you post a pic of the setup?

You can simply put a PVC coupling on it and raised to any height you want. I have done this many times.

I don’t have any room to cut out the pvc to put a coupling on.

I have the same overflow. When I put the tank together I purposely left the main drain short so I could put a coupling and extra pipe as needed. If you get creative you figure out a way to cut that off. I don't even use a turned down 90, just a straight down pipe. Turn of the return pump and take some of the water in the over flow to get a view of what you can do. The hoses to the return loclines come off so you can get those out of the way. Take a short hacksaw blade and go to work. You can only get very short strokes but it still will go fast.

Ok I’ll try to do that when I get a chance. Thanks for the input.
