It’s lost its beauty as algae has grown on it but I still like the black look.

When i inevitably do a Deepwater Reef setup I might use lava rock as there's no possible way that algae is growing in pitch black lol. Any updated photos of your tank?

Oh my God those wrasses have been moving that sand! I see that algae scraper! Keep scraping lol

You’d be surprised how much of that is the maroon clownfish…

But the engineer goby and especially the dragon wrasse help:

Lyretail hogfish. Can be hard to find but a great fish.

Yes! Always zooming about, still fairly shy but very very energetic.

About half the tank so 3ft. The snowflake is a good 18” now and the engineer goby almost a foot.

That dusky is super beefy! And the foxface continues to crack me up keeping a watchful eye from behind the rocks :rolling-on-the-floor-laughing:
