When i inevitably do a Deepwater Reef setup I might use lava rock as there's no possible way that algae is growing in pitch black lol. Any updated photos of your tank?

Oh my God those wrasses have been moving that sand! I see that algae scraper! Keep scraping lol
You’d be surprised how much of that is the maroon clownfish…

But the engineer goby and especially the dragon wrasse help:

Whats that fish swimming around with a white tail? Looks like it has an orange face?
Lyretail hogfish. Can be hard to find but a great fish.
