When I got my elegance at the LFS it displayed long flowing tentacles, but since adapting it to my system, it tends to expand the “disc” portion, with the tentacles remaining fairly short like tassels. It’s still super healthy— I’ve had it a full year now— but I wish there was a way I could encourage those long flowing tentacles again. Any thoughts?

Currently it’s fairly high up in my tank, with medium flow. I’ve also had it in lower levels with lower flow where it was just as beautiful and healthy as ever— but I moved it to a higher flow to see if I could get better tentacle extension and didn’t…

I would try lower light/lower flow. What PAR is it sitting in now? Mine gets about 150 PAR in lower flow and it looks like a torch. When I had it higher PAR it was much less impressive.

definitley lower light. Mine is at 80 par, and I feed brine shrimp weekly. That keeps them happy and fluffy! Elegance tend to “deal” with higher light rather than thrive.
