ESHOPPS Mariner 70 Build

With the new Tunze make sure to plug in the pump connector head phone jack in tightly. It should make a clicking noise. For some reason mind did not go in properly until I had more pressure than I thought and the pump would not turn on lol. Its great though and silent.
Thanks for the advice!

Ok... 10 gallons of water made for a water change, Tunze Osmolator needs to be installed, and some glass to scrape and algae to remove.

I guess I can start working?

10 gallons changed.
Some algae removed.
Still need to install the Osmolator.

Oh yeah, glass sorta kinda mostly almost scraped?
And snowed the tank.

So I started to install the Osmolator last night and realized there's no siphon break. I'm going to order one just as a precaution.

Well, I decided to design and print a siphon break. Gonna print it here in a bit and see how it goes.

Almost done. Test fit in about 5 minutes or so and then bed.

Fits good and snug! I've already got the next "upgraded" design in my head.

Upgraded design - haven't printed it yet and probably won't for a bit but it has a protective "flap" over the anti-siphon hole to keep it from spitting when it runs.

The arrow is so people (me) don't install it backwards forcing it to spit when the pump runs...

She done AND she glows.

Interesting design. I think I like it. I also like the dayglo green, makes it easy to locate.

It's for 6mm tubing. If you want the file I'll send it to you!

Sure, I'd appreciate it. I'm probably going to be replacing my ATO soon anyway as it has failed randomly twice in the last month. I don't have any fancy dayglo but I've got some red PETG that would work okay.

Im currently reprinting. This design, the internal barbs were a little too tight so the tubing didn't fit.

Well, it's been installed on the Tunze for almost a week with 0 failures! It took a day of adjusting the sensor to get the ATO dialed in where I wanted it (that magnet is strong so it doesn't slide easily at all) but the anti-siphon stops siphon immediately when the pump shuts off. Beautiful!

Printing this new sump sponge "replacement guard" weirs for the sump.

The last one I printed works good EXCEPT it is recessed and that makes it quite difficult to"clean in place".

Is your ato tubing submerged? I'm just wondering about the need for the syphon break. I have a Tunze ATO and am curious if there's anything I'm overlooking. The tubing is several inches out of the water in my return pump chamber.
