I didn't buy it. I got home from the LFS and he was in the bottom of the bag. I think he's been in there for a little over a month now.

I bought one, realized they eat pods & grow to 8 inches and ended up driving right back to the LFS lol. Luckily the guy was kind enough to trade it for some hermit crabs instead which I was more than happy with. I don't want any competition for Ant my Mandarin in the copepod department although he eats TDO B2 pellets from Biota :D

How do you like your Mariner? Mine has been set up for a month and im pretty happy with it. I wish I had gone with the 130 for more fish but also because my sump area could house more equipment.
It's good. The 70 is small.

Yeah they seem to have a very hungry appetite for pods in the sand based on my research. That being said in a 270 you will probably be fine with one. Although I do love me a diamond sand sifting goby in case you need some sand sifting capabilities lol

I have had one in the past and they never did very well.
I currently have a pair of yellow watchmen gobies but they just stay close to their rock.

Well, the algae scrubber is showing up today! Only problem is I'm on my way to church. After church we're headed to the east side of town for early dinner with my side of the family followed by Trans Siberian Orchestra. A couple shots from last year:

I saw them last year! Was a great show.

I do have a really think sand bed like 2-3 inches & I always target feed him & deposit some pellet treasures under the sand near his home in the sand lol. That being said I have heard people have difficulty in keeping them.

I had one when I first got into salt water , it died when I only had then in a 20 gallon tank . It lacked the food to survive since the tank was 6 months old . How little I New back then .

So I finally got around to test fitting everything on the Turf Scrubber and the screen is about 9mm too far in. I was going to reprint the front and screen and make the screen 5mm shorter and 9mm closer to the front panel but THEN I realized I can be super lazy and just print a 9mm spacer piece for the gap. If, after the test, everything is good and the scrubber works, I'll redesign both pieces (or just the outer shell) to fit better.

Also, if you haven't heard yet (I think most of you know already?) I am, as of this afternoon, unemployed. I start my new job on Monday.
