I got vacuum bags with some silica satchel bags for keeping things dry. I store all of my PETG this way except for the roll I have loaded. My printer is in an enclosure and I have a bunch of satchels of silica in there as well.I only use PETG for in the tank stuff and for most around the tank stuff as it is more UV resistant and heat tolerant than PLA. I use PETG for probably 80 to 90 percent of everything I print.
While it is a little different from printing PLA it is not much harder and most systems have good filament presets today. Bambus can print PETG beautifully. PETG does need to be dried if it has been sitting out a long time but it does not need to be printed from a dry box. PLA also benefits from drying but you can use your X1C as a dyer for most non-engineering filaments. Just search for X1C filament dryer and you should get some hits on how to do it.
