I have a bunch of Bubblegum Digitata, Burning Banana styloconiella, and fake Blue Raven Blastos. Also a pink Chalice. Everything else (mostly) is green except the Birdsnest and Strats.

Hello tbrown, they are beautiful. I recalled you're one of the very first Mariner owner since the early launch. It looks like you might be the Mariner of the Year and win their M130 contest to, good luck. Me and the wife are looking at the Mariner tank, the M130 or the M180 for sometime. The tanks look really good from pictures. Can you tell us more in details about the Mariner tank since you had it set up for almost 3 years. How is the build quality and overall. Will love to hear your honest feedback before the big purchase. Thank you in advance. I'm sure many will love to hear your feedbacks after the headache Red Sea did to our reefing communities with the seam. We have a Red Sea G1 now and looking to switch out to these Mariner tanks. As you can see from pictures, our Reefer door don't even close anymore, horrible right. The scary part is the wife worry like crazy every night before going to bed that it will flood our house middle of night. She so worry she can't barely leave the house for long anymore.

The biggest difference between the Red Sea and the Mariner, at least from my understanding, is the front and back support of the stand. I live my tank but the 70 is on the small side. I downgraded from a 135 to this tank and trying to fit all the corals as they grow is fun.

As I mentioned, the stand. So Red Sea puts the doors under the front panel so the panel "floats" and isn't supported. ESHOPPS made the front of the stand wider and longer than the tank by approximately 1/8" all the way around so the entire tank "frame" is supported. What I was told was discovered on the Red Sea tanks was that the seam failures are the front seam sagging from a lack of support underneath.

The only downside I found was the plumbing. I mentioned it to ESHOPPS after I assembled it and it looks like they listened. They did say they were going to take it back to their engineers to try to find a solution. For my tank, if I ever want to move the tank, the plumbing from the tank to the sump is glued and will have to be cut off. The new design of the plumbing appears to be threaded on, although I can't confirm that for certain - we'd have to ask an owner of a newer tank.

I did remove my filter socks and use a single filter floss cup and a Nano filter roller from Nature Dimensions.

The build quality on this tank is very good. The guarded corners are very nice and help keep the glass scrapers from peeling up silicone and the thick glass is super clear.

I've got my overflow dialed in pretty decent and it's almost silent when it's running.

I love the 21" width vs the standard 18".

I've got some interesting bit of news for you all if you're running a Hydros Collective...

Your controller doesn't know if the Sense port 1 sensor is ACTUALLY a Leak Rope and not a Level Sensor and vice versa for Sense port 2...

Somehow I got my Leak Rope and my Level Sensor ports swapped so everytime my ATO should have shut off due to low level in the ATO reservoir, instead my Hydros told me I had a leak.

I knew my reservoir was getting low and my Leak Rope activated so I decided to do a little experiment and added water to the reservoir and the leak went away.

I switched the two sensors and we're all better I think! Gonna test the Leak Rope now.

I did a 5 gallon water change yesterday!

Now I need to top off the alkalinity and calcium and magnesium dosing containers...

Also also, I bumped up my Noopsyche lighting 10% the other day and forgot to mention it on here but it is noticeable. I think I only turned up the 2 blue channels 10% and the violet 5%. Not sure how much I turned up the Orphek though. It ran a firmware update and the lighting was different than when I set it up I'm fairly certain. Currently I think I'm running 85% on blues, 60% whites, and 45% green and red at peak.
