It's been going downhill for years but the last few months have been abysmal. I have a theory that they've started using AI-assisted routing. I have no proof of this other than it keeps getting weirder and weirder. It reminds me of the stories about AI scheduling at Pizza Hut and AI inventory control at Starbucks, or any time I'm near a Waymo. AI may be fast but the acronym should stand for Artificial Incompetence.

Not forgiven by me. They still have my stuff held hostage and the last 3 USPS deliveries were a week later as well. They take my money and then mess around.

Here's the tracking information from USPS website: Accepted in San Francisco, moving through network, arrived in Burlingame, moving through network, arrived in San Francisco, moving through network, arrived in San Francisco, moving through network arrived in Phoenix, moving through network, arrived in Tucson, moving through network, arrived in Phoenix, sitting there for over 12 hours now just to make sure I don't get it until Wednesday next week. They won't do anything with it tomorrow or Monday.

Order fulfilled on the 17th, 11 hour drive. Might arrive on the 27th.

Another order fulfilled on the 20th from Indiana, getting here today by UPS, 26 hour drive.

Not really forgiven by me either, although my local PO is really good. When stuff hits my PO it is here right away and they have even helped me to track down the mailperson when the parcel box key was damaged and I had snails delivered to it. The mailperson stopped their deliveries, went to the parcel box and retrieved my snails for me and then went back to their deliveries.

Wow. I called the Post Office today to inquire about when I should expect my delivery that was scheduled for two days ago and, as if to prove a point, they sent it back to Tucson and now it's headed back to Phoenix. Again.

Good old USPS. Worthless. And imagine this: they're a government entity so they're supported by our taxes BUT we still have to pay to use them

The USPS does not receive any tax money and are wholly self-funded.

Nevertheless, the whole "Phoenix to Tucson" thing is very strange and disappointing. Hope they get it figured out soon but not holding my breath.

UPDATE: USPS delivered today! Sierra Vista Post Office called me Sunday and told me that, as Tom hinted might be the case, my package was stuck in what she termed "an infinite loop" and would have continued driving in circles between Tucson and Phoenix had I not called them. How are there 0 checks and balances on this stuff?

Anyway, between Sunday and Monday they actually drove from Tucson straight to my Post Office and dropped it off for delivery today!

Fleece roll has officially been replaced. I also went ahead and replaced the PolyFil in the filter cup while I was in there. I'll replace the Rowa this weekend after I test again.

Sierra Vista Post Office called me Sunday and told me that, as Tom hinted might be the case, my package was stuck in what she termed "an infinite loop" and would have continued driving in circles between Tucson and Phoenix had I not called them. How are there 0 checks and balances on this stuff?

Maybe there are as they did call you on Sunday.

Anyway, between Sunday and Monday they actually drove from Tucson straight to my Post Office and dropped it off for delivery today!

Also, redesign on the 3D Printed Algae Scrubber is in the works. Started working on it last night. Just considering how I want it to be.

Finished the redesign on the Algae Scrubber. I added a second screen since my new pump is almost 400 gph as opposed to the 90 gph on the old design.

My light finally died though and it's an 11 hour print. I just need to swap some filament and order the new light and then MAYBE I'll start the print.

Probably not though. I had a $100 gift card for a watch so I may have ordered a Mystery Watch. My wife probably won't support buying a new ATS light for a week or 2.

Anyways, new design:

The grey circle under the ring for the light is transparent PETG.

Thanks! If it works out I'll be adding it to the 3D printed list. It's made specifically to fit my sump but it's a standard ESHOPPS sump (and lots of others have similar dimensions).

I started printing it. Here's the beginning of the frame.

Well, it ran for 4 of the 6 hours yesterday and I ran out of black filament so I switched to dark grey. It makes a really neat transition I feel like. I'll print the lid later today and then the screens tomorrow. That'll leave the light bracket/transparent protector later.
