ESHOPPS Mariner 70 Build

For now ;) Just wait until you have the same problem LOL
I would try to trade for store credit at my lfs or sale/trade it to local reefers if I could.

Yeah, my LFS isn't interested in Birdsnest.

Mine is small and will normally take anything I have on trade be it fresh or saltwater.
Mine is under new ownership and wants to buy some Strats but has very little budget due to, well, buying a LFS. 😂

Your strats are amazing!

I'm considering emailing him and asking what he would require in trade for a Hydros Launch. I've got a frag set aside for him that was 15 polyps. I think it's around 25 now. 😬

Maybe I'll shoot him an email asking about 25 Strats, a MASSIVE Birdsnest colony and 4 or 5 Joker Anemones...

That's like $3000+ worth of coral for a $500 controller.

I ended up tossing a whole pile two months ago:

This was about 8 frags that all grew together and made the frag rack fall and wouldn't hold anymore.
I will end up doing the same soon. Hopefully there's a local that would like some. If not, maybe the LFS will take it. I hate throwing healthy corals out. I'm sure we all do.

Birdsnest, 10 strats, and two jokers. Leave room to haggle.

That's a positive sign. Keep shopping there.
Yes, however, this is a LaZy's Coral Blue Zing hybrid most likely. It was purchased as RTA (Riptide) Hidden Forest Birdsnest but it's not a normal variety. It's a thick branched version of a Bird of Paradise but with blue and purple polyps.

I don't have a frag of 10 Strats. Plus, he already gave me $500 in free fish, plants, and corals for a credit that the previous owner gave me for Strats and then took the Strats when they sold him the store. I kinda feel bad for him. He's done a ton to turn the store around and he's been super helpful.

🤮🤮

That takes up too much precious real estate. Break it into several smaller colonies and give them away at your next club meeting. Make some newbie reefers' days.

If @felda001 had his tank setup he'd be getting a chunk.

@Tahoe61 doesn't know it yet but there might be a chunk headed to Tucson (with a couple of Strats) in a couple of weeks.

If I ever make it over to Gilbert and @tharbin is available to meet up for a SHU his might have a chunk inside as well. 😂

That's a Birdsnest.
I've never seen one like that. My first thought was no way but when I zoomed in sure enough, it's a birdnest but with the thickest branches I've ever seen. I'm particularly good at killing birdsnest, but then again I've only grown the thin-branched Fiji varieties and they always grow like crazy for months and then crash.

Yeah, this one's crashed several times - crashed to the floor of the tank and had to be reset on its little perch.
