Hey ive got a fairy wrasse sold to me as a blue sided fairy, but it doesnt seem to match any of the color phases i can find online. Deep purple head, orange back half, blue stomach, and all 3 colors on dorsal and tail fins

It's really hard to tell. Use white light. If I had to guess, it looks like Cirrhilabrus rubrisquamis or C finifenmaa. Either one is a way cooler and rarer wrasse.

That’s Cirrhilabrus chaliasi, ruby headed wrasse
Found it on live aquaria and its the exact one, thank you! Looks like I got it about 40% off thanks to the misID.
On a related note, ive got 2 "slots" left for wrasses in tank (120g, currently this wrasse, a small yellow coris, and a small carpenter wrasse)
One will definitely be for a melanarus, or at least something from that genus, but i recently found out that the last fish i wanted is now protected and unavailable.
Are there any reef safe, non endangered, longer finned wrasses that do well with other wrasses you could recommend? Ive got good 3 LFS, im sure one of them can get in anything thats legal.

The yellow wrasse is not a Coris wrasse but a Halichoeres wrasse so you already have a wrasse from the Halichoeres genus like the melanurus. A melanurus should work though there are less aggressive options.

Usually I’d suggest a variety of fairies but you already have the ruby head and that is a male of one of the feistier complexes.

The members of the right group, rubriventralis, often have long fins.

Other options are other flasher wrasse, other Halichoeres, does a dusky have “long fins”?, or a leopard.

Update, melanarus arrived in shop a few weeks ago, added last week and so far it, the ruby head, and the coris are all doing great.
Not sure if I wanna try a leapord until I have more rock/bigger tank, ive only got about 140 lbs in here, plenty of pods on the glass even in daytime but id rather take things slow.
